Why?

rich land

In addition to this in Latin America there are people that want decent work...

Furthermore, this master degree has as purpose deepening the use of advanced research techniques and general knowledge for interdisciplinary work of the various problems to study in Latin America, the Caribbean and Cuba.     The Master has two profiles

1. Latin American and Caribbean Interdisciplinary Studies.
2. Cuban interdisciplinary studies.

I am inclined for the first opción because I like all related with Latin America studies. so, I must know more about opportunity than offers the cuban government, and the agreement between universities, etc.

Study in Argentina

Why study in Argentina and especially in Buenos Aires?

The city of Buenos Aires is cosmopolitan, has important communities almost all Latin American countries, so the visitors can find students homes, environments in terms of restaurants and meeting places.

There is plenty of accommodation for students in the city, with a wide range of prices, as tens of thousands of students from inside the country are concentrated.

The range of cultural activities and entertainment is huge, the City of Buenos Aires and the surrounding area has 12.5 million inhabitants.

Why to study in The University of Buenos Aires?

The reasons are the following: First, is a Public Univer
sity, considered one of the most prestigious educative centers in Latin America, the second reason is that there is an extensive academic traditions, that's why it's an excellent academic level in undergradute and graduate courses, besides, the duties of graduate courses in general are lower than any institution or definely the private university.

In the university of Buenos Aires there are many diferents posgraduate program, depending of the faculties, so, you can find programs in economics, engineering, human studies, laws, health sciencies, and disign and architecture.

The Faculty of Engineering offers:

There are two kinds of studies: master degree and specialization, in different branches of engineering, you can chose what you want, but in this case I am studying Petroleum Engineering so, I chose the program of specialization " reservoir engineering" for then  apply to "Engineering in oil and Natural Gas" master degree.

The requirements to apply are:

If you are foreign, mainly you must process your student visa, before you go to Argentina, because is very difficult traveling with touristic visa and then trying to process the student visa locally.

Noticeably, have graduated in any branch of Engineering, Natural Sciences or Geology, or be a graduate of a four-year degree at least equivalent.

Are there scholarships for foreign students?

The Faculty of Engineering has no scholarship scheme for foreign students for graduate courses. Exceptionally there may be a specific agreement signed between the student's home university and the University of Buenos Aires that includes exchange scholarships. In this case we suggest you find the home university if this possibility exists.
